Richie Towell has signed for League Two new boys Salford City after leaving Albion
The Irish midfielder, who has been on loan at Rotherham, was out of contract with the Seagulls.
He now links up with the club owned by several members of Manchester United’s famous Class of ’92.
Towell arrived at Albion midway through the 2015-16 season from Dundalk amid considerable excitement but never quite made the breakthrough.
Salford boss Graham Alexander, whose side were promoted via the National League play-offs this season, is delighted to have him on board.
Alexander said: “I think he’s a great addition to our club!
“He’s got lots of experience at Championship level, he’s still a young player with good ambitions, he plays with loads of energy, good aggression, and we can’t wait to work with him.”
Towell, 27, has signed a two-year deal.
