Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has completed a his much-anticipated season-long loan move to Boca Juniors.

He will be with the Argentinian giants until June 30, 2020.

Mac Allister trained with Boca today as they build towards their domestic season.

His debut could come in the two-legged Copa Libertadores tie against Brazilian side Club Athletico Paranaense in late July and early August.

Mac Allister, 20, is a hugely sought-after talent in Argentina with five top clubs reportedly keen to secure his services.

Albion technical director Dan Ashworth said: “Alexis is an exciting young talent and he will continue his development for the next year in his homeland, with one of Argentina’s biggest clubs, playing in the Argentine first division and South America’s prestigious Copa Libertadores.

“We will continue to monitor his development over the 12-month period and review his position next summer.”

Mac Allister came through the Boca academy and is a lifelong fan of the club. He was previously on loan at Argentinos Juniors.
