Albion prospect Alexis Mac Allister wants Carlos Tevez to help prepare him for the Premier League.

The Argentinian attacking midfielder has signed a year-long loan deal with Buenos Aires giants Boca Juniors.

He will team up with former Manchester City and United star Tevez as well as several other top names from the Argentinian Superliga.

Mac Allister said: “Playing for Boca is always a big challenge.

“I really admire a few players who are there.

“People like Carlos, who is a great reference point of the club.

“I need to show people and to myself that I can be of the level of these big players. That’s my ambition.

“Tevez had a career that nobody – or very few people – can match.”

Mac Allister, a hugely sought after player in Argentina, cost Albion £8 million in January and could prove to be a major bargain if he shines over the next year.

It is understood the deal was delayed as Boca attempted to secure an option to eventually buy the former Argentinos player.

However he met the squad on Monday night and trained yesterday as Boca prepare for the forthcoming campaign.
