Albion are making progress in their quest to sign last season’s top player in the Belgian League.

The Seagulls want to bring in Genk captain and winger Leandro Trossard and have already made an offer.

It is understood things are moving forward for Albion as they look to beat several European clubs to the 24-year-old’s signature.

A well-placed source told The Argus last night there was “still work to do – but it’s going well at the moment.”

Trossard, whose 14 goals helepd Genk to the Belgian title, capped a memorable few months when he married fiancée Laura Hilven yesterday.
