Tomer Hemed’s immediate future looks set to remain in the balance over the weekend.
The Albion striker was expected to move to Championship outfit Charlton Athletic yesterday.
Instead, paperwork is still being processed which could allow the transfer to be completed next week.
A statement issued this evening by the Addicks read: “Charlton Athletic had submitted the relevant paperwork for the permanent transfer of Brighton and Hove Albion forward Tomer Hemed close to the deadline on Thursday and are awaiting confirmation.
“The club expect to hear the outcome in the early part of next week.”
