How Albion's players fared in the 3-0 win at Watford.....
MATY RYAN 7
Even in a match where he is protected as well as this, there always tends to be chance for a goalkeeper to shine away in the Prem. Looked like it was his foot which thwarted Gray at 1-0. Assured.
SHANE DUFFY 7
The right-sided of the back three and did his job effectively against a home side with good movement and tricky individuals. Made a crucial clearance in front of goal just after Albion went 1-0 up.
LEWIS DUNK 8
A captain’s performance. Excellent defensively and played the inch-perfect pass which cut through the home ranks for the crowing third goal.
DAN BURN 9
Impressive pre-season form was confirmed by this superb Prem debut. Defensive stature and comfort with the ball at his feet make him a good fit for this role.
MARTIN MONTOYA 8
Showed not so much a new dimension as an old one we have not seen often enough. A busy attacker and, defensively, won his duels with Deulofeu and Pereyra.
DALE STEPHENS 8
Twice involved in the opening goal after making the initial interception. Looked calm on the ball, made some good defensive clearances and worked well with Propper.
DAVY PROPPER 9
Went close from 25 yards and produced great drive and delivery to pick out Andone for the second goal. A really impressive box-to-box job by the Dutchman.
SOLLY MARCH 7
That wing-back role suits so many of his attributes and he was lively - but also the cause of Albion’s most uncomfortable moment with an error of judgement near the byline.
PASCAL GROSS 7
The one change to Potter's pre-season XI and put in a menacing ball across the box which Doucoure turned into his net to get Albion underway. Linked well with Montoya down the right throughout the game.
JURGEN LOCADIA 7
Showed glimpses of quality and strength as he got one shot on target and was involved in the build up to the first goal. Faded a bit after the break and was replaced by goalscorer Andone.
GLENN MURRAY 7
A tough afternoon. Put himself about but had a real battle on his hands with two physical centre-backs in Cathcart and Dawson.
Substitutes
NEAL MAUPAY 8
What a debut. Made a great impact, getting on the end of a super passing move to calmly round Foster and score in the 76th minute.
FlORIN ANDONE 8
All you need is one touch. Scored straight after going on with a neat finish at the front post from Propper’s cross.

On in added time.
