Albion want to help Leandro Trossard become a Premier League star.
The Belgian crowned his debut with a super finish to secure the Seagulls’ 1-1 draw at home to West Ham on Saturday.
He also had a first-half effort ruled out after VAR consultation.
Trossard is looking to make his name in one of the big leagues after helping Genk take the Belgian title last term.
He is already a big favourite at the Amex after sparkling against the Hammers and in pre-season versus Valencia.
Albion head coach Graham Potter said: “He had a really good season.
“They were champions over there and he is a hungry guy who wants to take that next step.
“From the Belgian League to the Premier League is, of course, a step, but he has got that quality as you can see.
“Our job is to help him make that transition.
“Of course it is nice for us to attract these guys.
Albion had finished celebrating by the time video ref Darren Bond told man in the middle Anthony Taylor to rule out their first-half goal for offside.
Trossard said: “It’s disappointing especially if you score a nice goal like that but you have to keep on going because it is a football game and you know that VAR is there.
“If you don’t stand up and it goes to your head, it’s not easy to keep on going so that is what you need to do.”
