Albion will host Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup third round.
The Seagulls defeated Bristol Rovers 2-1 to book their spot in tonight’s draw while five-time winners Villa were 6-1 victors at Crewe in round two.
League Two Crawley Town’s reward for knocking out Premier League Norwich City is another home tie against Nathan Jones’ Championship strugglers Stoke City.
Both games will be played the week commencing September 23.
Meanwhile, Albion loanee Percy Tau will play in this year’s Champions League group stages after he helped hosts Club Brugge beat Austrian side Lask Linz 2-1 last night (3-1 on aggregate).
The draw takes place tomorrow in Monaco.
