Aaron Mooy was on target as Australia beat Kuwait 3-0 in their World Cup qualifier today.

The Albion midfielder rifled into a top corner from 20 yards after 38 minutes for his first international goal for three-and-a-half years.

Mathew Leckie's double had put the Socceroos on course for victory while Seagulls goalkeeper Mathew Ryan had to make a number of good saves in the second half to protect the visitors' lead at the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium.

Mooy played the entire game for Australia.
