Graham Potter is ready for a contrast in styles as Albion face Burnley.

The Clarets will go with their customary 4-4-2 and Potter was asked whether he might try to match them up.

Indications at his press conference on Thursday lunchtime were that such a ploy was not in his plans.

His approach at the Etihad two weeks ago seem to back that up.

He said: “My instinctive thought is Burnley are really good at what they do and we have to be really good at what we do.

“Always in a game of football you have to adapt to the opposition, of course, because that is the beauty of the game. There are two teams out there.

“We went to Man City to try and be ourselves because I think you can learn about what you need to improve.

“Burnley will give us another test in another way but it is certainly a massive test.

“We need to be ourselves and learn and hopefully be better at what we do than they are.”

In the absence of injured Leandro Trossard and loan duo Jurgen Locadia and Florin Andone, there could be a role in the attacking areas for Solly March.

The Hailsham flyer started the campaign, with some success, as a wing-back, but was pushed further forward at the Etihad.

That in turn saw Bernardo play as left wing-back, a set-up which could be repeated today.
