Albion expect to have Davy Propper back to face Tottenham.

The Dutch international was a surprise absentee at Stamford Bridge.

Albion missed his presence in midfield and poise on the ball as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat.

Head coach Graham Potter said: “He felt a bit of whack in the week.

“He should be fine for Tottenham.

“We erred on the side of caution.

“He has put such a lot into the performances over the last few weeks and, of course, you are going to miss someone of his quality.”

Yves Bissouma started for the first time this season after shoulder surgery.

Ezequiel Schelotto was named in an Albion matchday 18 squad for the first time since the final day of the 2017-18 season and Alireza Jahanbakhsh returned, although neither came off the bench.

Solly March is expected to return in time for the Spurs game.
