Graham Potter told of his delight at sending Albion fans home happy.

The Seagulls won at the Amex for the first time under his tenure - and the first time in seven months – as they swept aside Spurs 3-0.

Potter has a habit of going out to applaud fans after a game but it was a bit more special today as he enjoyed some memorable scenes at the Amex.

The Albion head coach said: “It helps to win at home. We haven’t won at home in a while.

“Our supporters since I have been here have been brilliant with us.

“We have been a little unlucky not to have won.

“It’s nice for them to go home happy and see the team and what we are trying to do. We won’t be perfect every week.”

Albion picked up maximum points for the first time since the 3-0 success at Watford on the opening day.

Potter added: “I’ve said to the guys we can win by scores other than 3-0.

“I’ll take a 1-0 or 2-0, no problem!

“For everyone, it’s good. I don’t have to answer questions about not scoring goals for a couple of weeks – until we don’t score.

“We are in the Premier League, which is the hardest league in the world.

“It’s not going to be easy for us. It’s our third season so we have to keep fighting for every point.”
