Albion boss Graham Potter has chipped in to help his troubled former club in Sweden.
Ostersunds spokesman Niclas Lidstrum said Potter and coaching staff who were with him at the club had contributed “a good gift” to the fighting fund.
He added: “Our club slogan is “never give up” and Graham said that to us and that he believes in what we are doing.
“We were a little surprised to hear from him but more happy than surprised.
"We will not say how much it was but it was a good gift to us and we were really pleased.”
Ostersunds were taken from fourth tier to first by Potter and his team but have since suffered off-field problems.
They were left needing to raise £1.2 million by the turn of the year.
Lidstrum said: “The situation is looking better every day. We hope to have it solved in two months or something like that.”
