Pace bowler Tymal Mills has signed an extension to his T20 contract with Sussex.

The new deal comes after n impressive 2019 campaign, albeit one which was curtailed by injury.

Mills, 27, said: “I’m really pleased to have committed to Sussex for another year. It’s a place that I love to call my home and I hope I’ll be playing here for many more years to come.

“It was another frustrating season for me this summer as I felt I was bowling as well as I probably ever have done and was loving being out there with our high class T20 side, before suffering a stress fracture.

“I already can’t wait until next summer to getting back out under the lights at Hove and putting on a show with the rest of the lads.”

Sussex head coach Jason Gillespe added: “We’re really pleased to have agreed this contract extension with Tymal.

“As a left-arm seamer with raw pace he brings a real point of difference to our T20 side. He missed a few games this year with injury but Tymal works incredibly hard to keep himself fit and strong and to get himself on the park. We look forward to seeing him play as many games as possible for Sussex in the future.”

Tymal has played 44 T20 matches for Sussex Sharks, taking 53 wickets.
