Albion defender Adam Webster has suffered ankle ligament damage.

He misses Sunday’s trip to Manchester United and will be assessed after the forthcoming international break.

Webster was carried off during last Saturday’s win over Norwich.

Albion boss Graham Potter said today: “He has had a good week, responded quite well to everything.

“It is not too bad at this stage.”

Asked whether Webster could be out for four to six weeks, Potter replied: “I don’t like a timescale on it but around that.

“Sometimes with ligaments, you can be talking months.

“Hopefully it is weeks but we don’t like to lose anybody.”
