Graham Potter has hailed the contribution made by Glenn Murray as the Albion striker hopes for a starting chance.
The Seagulls are preparing for their busiest period of the season, starting at home to Leicester on Saturday.
Murray is among the players who have been on the fringes of late but for whom opportunities could arrive as fixtures come thick and fast.
He came off the bench at half-time versus Manchester United last time out but has not started since the Burnley game two months ago.
It is unclear whether Leandro Trossard and Aaron Connolly will figure against Leicester on Saturday after withdrawing from international squads.
Potter said recently of his relationship with Murray: “I speak with him. We have conversations all the time. I’ve got a lot of time for him.
“He’s been perfect in how he has been as a professional, how he has been around the group, how he has been with the guys who are playing, Aaron and Neal (Maupay).
“I can’t say anything bad about him.
“He will play a big role for us between now and the end of the season, I’m pretty sure of that, whether it’s off the bench or starting games.”
Murray scored this time last year when Leicester drew 1-1 at the Amex.
He has only netted twice at the Amex in league games since then and has yet to open his Prem account this term.
But Potter likes the contrasting attributes he brings to recent first choices Connolly and Maupay.
The Albion boss added: “The important thing for Glenn is he has to be himself.
“I wouldn’t want him to be like Aaron Connolly or Neal Maupay.
“He has his own unique qualities and they will be really useful for us.”
