Hope Powell has revealed she was disappointed by the turnout to see Albion Women at the Amex.
A crowd of 4.130 cheered her side on in their 3-0 win over Birmingham City on Sunday.
That compared to the 5,265 who saw the Seagulls lose 4-0 to Arsenal at the Amex at the end of last season.
Albion boss Powell said: “It was fantastic, it was really good.
“Personally I would have liked more, actually. The numbers were less than last season when we played Arsenal.
“That was a little bit disappointing, but the fact the crowd made so much noise, they had a lot to cheer about to be honest, which was really great for them to see three goals.
“I would like to say thank you to those whose came and please come and support us at Crawley.”
The first FA women’s football weekend saw more than 70,000 people go to WSL matches on Sunday.
Albion’s Ellie Brazil will have a scan to see the extent of the knee injury which forced her off 19 minutes into the win over Birmingham.
