Albion will assess Bernardo next week after his long-awaited comeback.
The left-back played the first half for the under-23s against West Ham on Wednesday following three months out with a knee injury.
He is not expected to feature at Liverpool today.
Head coach Graham Potter said: “He will probably miss out at the weekend but then hopefully have a few days of training.
“We will see how the game goes at the weekend and see how he is after his first 45 minutes – but he is not far away.”
Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Leon Balogun also played for the 23s.
Potter added: “They probably thought they wanted to get out on the pitch and play.
“When an opportunity comes, at least they are ready.
“They have had some game time on the pitch.
“We can only play three (over-age players in the under-23s) but it was good for me the boys were keen to play.”
