Gabriele Cioffi has left his position as Crawley Town head coach by mutual consent.

In a short statement, the League Two outfit said: "The club would like to thank Gabriele for his services to Crawley Town and we wish him all the best for the future."

Edu Rubio has been appointed Interim Head Coach with immediate effect.

The club will not be making any further comment at this time.

The Reds bowed out of the FA Cup yesterday after a 2-1 defeat to Fleetwood Town and a number of supporters voiced their anger at Cioffi at the final whistle.

Club owner Ziya Eren had made a rare appearance at the game.
