Graham Potter wants Albion to take confidence and belief from the display which saw them beat Arsenal.

The head coach was pleased with the manner of his side’s performance as well as the 2-1 success.

And he reckons it emphasises the fact that his team are working on the right lines.

Potter said: “We have played Manchester United, Leicester and Liverpool recently so we have had a tough batch of games.

“It’s nice for us to come away from home to a top-six team and win and play well.

“Maybe that gives us a bit more belief and confidence that we are on a path to doing something while we know we are just at the start of it.

“The role of the away team is to make it not so easy for the home team but it’s how we did that.

“Sometimes you can park the bus.

“I don’t think we parked the bus.

“I think we tried to press high.

“We had the ball from the back and tried to play through.

“When you do that, you can leave yourself open to them playing through you or you make an error and they can score off a turnover.

“It isn’t so easy to do what we did.

“We had to do it well and, while we weren’t perfect, we showed enough quality and character to get the win.”
