GRAHAM POTTER is facing selection decisions after using 19 players in 48 hours.

Albion have started preparations for their New Year’s Day clash at home to Chelsea (12.30pm).

Potter made seven changes to the XI who faced Spurs on Boxing day for the win over Bournemouth.

Steven Alzate, Aaron Connolly, Dale Stephens and Ezequiel Schelotto are among players who now come back into contention to start.

Potter said: “I was quite happy with a lot of what we did against Tottenham.

“The question was, ‘Can those guys go again?’.

“With Galgo (Schelotto), for example, there is just no chance. You’re risking injury.

“Same with Aaron Connolly, same with Steven Alzate from the start, quite a few of the guys.

“Then it is also about what the players have got who could go again.”

Potter is relishing the chance to take on Chelsea, a club against whom Albion have never taken a point in nine league games.

He said: “It’s a really good game against a top team.

“It’s nicer to play that game after three points.

“We will prepare and do what we can.”
