Aston Villa and Newcastle are the latest clubs to have been linked with a move for Albion striker Glenn Murray.
Reports have suggested the 36-year-old is being eyed up as a possible short-term deal.
The Guardian has claimed Murray is a possible target for Villa boss Dean Smith and also Magpies manager Steve Bruce.
Villa striker Wesley being ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury and Newcastle are struggling for goals from the likes of Joelinton and Andy Carroll.
The Argus understands Murray is on a Villa shortlist.
But reports in the North East claim Newcastle have made no contact with Albion over Murray and sources on Tyneside have dismissed the prospect of the frontman making a move to St James’ Park.
