Graham Potter has told Albion to bounce back from their own FA Cup shocker as they bid to add to Everton’s woes.

The Seagulls are aware of the torrid time the Goodison outfit have been through after losing 1-0 to a youthful Liverpool side.

They expect Everton to be out to prove a point when the teams meet at Goodison Park today (3pm).

But Albion have had their own cup disappointment to get over after a 1-0 reverse to Sheffield Wednesday.

Potter has been pleased with the reaction of his players this week – as he has been after previous bad days.

He told The Argus: “The response has always been good.

“You are going to have those off days in football.

“We weren’t so happy with ourselves collectively after the cup game but, as I said to the boys after the game, we have to respond and come back and be prepared to train and be ready to play Everton.

“Everybody has done that, in fairness. They have trained really well.”

Lewis Dunk, Davy Propper and Martin Montoya are all expected to return after being rested for the FA Cup tie.

Leandro Trossard and Aaron Connolly also come into contention but Aaron Mooy (knee) is rated less than 50-50.

Bernardo is expected to start on the left of defence in place of injured Dan Burn in what could be a key role as Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti calls for more from his widemen.

Ancelotti said: “We have fantastic strikers up front, good with their head. Maybe more crosses could be a solution.”

Albion have never win on seven previous visits to Everton.
