Frustrations boiled over after the final whistle as Albion’s Neal Maupay was ushered off by his team-mates after the final whistle following the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at the Amex.

Leandro Trossard fired the Seagulls into a 38th-minute lead after being played in by striker Maupay.

But Villa’s Jack Grealish lashed home a 75th-minute leveller to earn the visitors a point.

Maupay had a angry exchange with his former Brentford team-mate Ezri Konsa after the final whistle which ended with him being pulled away by skipper Lewis Dunk and ushered down the tunnel.

Players from both sides tried to calm the situation as the sides shared a point apiece.
