West Ham could have two new faces on board by the time they face Albion.
Tomas Soucek, a powerful defensive midfielder from Slavia Prague, has agreed a deal.
The 24-year-old Czech international underwent a medical this afternoon. He will cost West Ham £13 million.
Hammers boss David Moyes also confirmed a bid is in for another player, with reports linking the club with RB Salzburg right-back Rasmus Kristensen.
Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and midfielder Robert Snodgrass could be fit to face Liverpool tomorrow after missing Saturday's FA Cup defeat by West Brom through injury.
Fabianski is back in training after a hip problem and Snodgrass is battling to overcome a knee injury.
Ryan Fredericks, Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Arthur Masuaku and Jack Wilshere are still sidelined.
A four-goal defeat to the leaders would leave West Ham in the relegation zone ahead of Albion's visit on Saturday.
Conversely, a shock win for Moyes' men would take them a point ahead of the Seagulls and into 15th place.
