Ton-up Davy Propper is hoping Albion can go one step further against rivals Crystal Palace at the Amex.

In the reverse fixture in December, Albion put in one their best performances on the road this season, dominating the larger majority of the game but only managed to come away with a 1-1 draw.

Albion are yet to win a game in 2020 while Palace only picked up their first three point-haul of the season last weekend against Newcastle.

Propper, who played in the reverse fixture, is hoping Albion get the three points this time round against Palace.

He said: “Hopefully we can play as well as we did against them earlier in the season and then hopefully we can get the win this time.

“We have to remember what their qualities are which is sometimes they don’t like to have the ball and just be patient.

“They also have great players upfront, who can do something and make it more difficult for us.”

The Dutch midfielder makes his 100th appearance for Albion today.

He seems to be a bit of a lucky charm on derby day.

In the five games he has played against Palace, he has never lost against them, winning three and drawing two.

Propper is hoping he can maintain that record.

He said: “I don’t think it is my secret, but the three years I have been here we have had a great record and we hope to keep it that way because we need it this weekend.

“We will try to make sure that we can maintain that record.”

Albion have confirmed their home game against Arsenal will take place as originally scheduled on Saturday, March 14 (3pm).

Any need to change to accomodate the Gunners’ commitments in the Europa League ended when they went out to Olympiacos on Thursday.
