Graham Potter has praised the efforts of Solly March - after two moments to forget.

March has started three of Albion’s four most recent matches.

He attracted comment for the wrong reasons when he missed their best chances against Crystal Palace and Wolves.

But his general level of performance has been better than his finishing – and has earned Potter’s seal of approval.

Albion do not know when they will be back in action and are not due to return to training until mid-April.

But March has done plenty to impress his head coach as he ponders his options for what, it is still hoped, will be the resumption of the 2019-20 season.

Potter said: “The hardest thing in football is to score. Even Messi misses.

“That is how it is but people don’t remember that so much.

“That’s the challenge. We try to help more and get better chances and then you have to back the individual.

“Keep working and you get that bit of luck. It turns your way and things start to become a lot easier.

“Solly’s performance has been solid over the last few games.

“He has helped the team, he has contributed to some moments, he threatens in behind their back line.

“He has done what we have asked him to do and we have been pleased with him.”

Albion players continue to train at home, following fitness programmes set by the club and now linking up on a group app.

Some used social media accounts to post messages of support to fans and the NHS over the weekend.
