Albion have been handed the draw they did not want in the last eight of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Dean Wilkins' men, and their more hardy fans, face a long midweek trek to Swansea City in the Area semi-finals, effectively the quarter-finals for the tournament overall.

The tie will be played in the week commencing Monday, January 7.

Gillingham host MK Dons in the other southern tie.

The draw in what is now a rather weak-looking northern section sees Stockport host Grimsby and Morecambe play at home to Bury.

Although it is an unkind draw, Albion will go to West Glamorgan firmly believing they can advance.

They fought out a 0-0 draw at the Liberty Stadium this season and the Swans have been vulnerable on their own patch at times, notably when they lost 1-0 to Huddersfield last night.
