Weston-super-Mare 1, Lewes 2.

Lewes came from behind to maintain their Conference south promotion challenge with a 2-1 win at Weston-Super-Mare.

The Rooks were first to show, Paul Booth firing over from their first corner on four minutes and they had strong appeals for a goal turned down on 14 minutes when Weston keeper Ryan Northmore gathered Leon Legge's downward header after it bounced off a post.

Lewes lost midfielder Simon Wormull through injury after 16 minutes with Tom Davis taking over but their rhythm was not upset.

Weston took the lead against the run of play on 29 minutes when Lewis Powell powered a header past Steve Williams from Simon Heal's cross.

But Lewes took control in the second half with Andy Drury firing over and Booth forcing a good save from Northmore.

Constant pressure from Steven King's side paid off on 59 minutes when Booth knocked in Drury's right-wing cross at the far post.

After that it was all Lewes.

They forced four more corners and Matt Groves hit a post from Jay Conroy's cross.

The winner came on 77 minutes when striker Groves scored from a rebound after his initial header came back off the home cross bar with Northmore beaten.
