Nicky Forster believes Albion have proved their promotion credentials.

The Seagulls came from behind twice at top six rivals Leyton Orient on Saturday to stretch their unbeaten run away from home to six matches in a 2-2 draw.

In-form Forster, who fired the first equaliser, revealed: "Adie Williams, a close friend of mine at Swindon, told me Leyton Orient are the best team he has seen this season by a long way. We matched them, so that bodes well.

"We are all delighted with the performance. It was a really good game and although we have come away with only one point that is a real positive. It's a tough place to come.

"A lot of teams will go there and be beaten but that hasn't happened to us. We are not going to win every game but we are confident going into games that we can get results."

Seven-goal Forster's shot from outside the area midway through the second half was his first single for the club following a hat-trick of doubles.

He said: "I was perhaps disappointed I didn't score with the header which hit the bar and led to Coxy's (Dean Cox) equaliser, so I might have got that brace again.

"Things are coming good for me. I am enjoying it at the moment. I am scoring goals and getting the recognition, so it's nice.

"We had to come from behind twice and I think we did that really well. We finished the game really strongly and were the better team in the end."

Albion fared worst in the draw for the southern area semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

They visit Swansea in the week commencing January 7, in-between a possible FA Cup third round appearance and another long trip to Oldham.
