Graham Potter is working on a training masterplan to prepare Albion for their Premier League restart.

But what the coming weeks hold might become a lot clearer today as clubs meet.

Health and safety protocols for training sessions will be high on the agenda.

Potter has his own queries but is putting together a plan as best he can for the next few weeks.

He admits he will have to flexible and inventive.

Albion’s head coach told The Argus: “It is about understanding what we can do.

“Clearly it is not a football session because you can’t tackle, there is no contact.

“It becomes a fitness session with a ball but at least it is something else.

“We can interact in small groups.

“The process is trying to adapt to that and come up with things which are useful to us in terms of our preparation for when we do start to play football.

“At the same time, build and not waste the hard work the players have been doing from a fitness perspective in their homes and now at the training ground.”

Members of the development squad could be drafted in to help deal with a hectic schedule – but not yet.

Potter said: “At the moment they want to keep the bubble we are working with as small as possible.

“We have a certain amount of people we can have in that bubble which, of course, makes sense at this stage.

“I think we are trying to go through the protocols in a safe way and make sure everybody gets used to the new normal.

“Then, as I understand it, in stage two and stage three there is a possibility for that type of movement from outside the first team group if we need to.

“That is ultimately how we worked before the virus.

“These are details we are not quite sure of.”
