Paul Barber has welcomed the return date for the Premier League.

Albion will return to action against Arsenal on the weekend of June 20-21.

All home games are set to be played at the Amex.

Albion do not yet have a definite date for any matches but the Gunners will visit having faced Manchester City on June 17.

Barber, Albion’s deputy chairman and chief executive, said: "We felt that June 20 was a more comfortable date from a playing perspective in term of giving the players a decent amount of time to return to contact training.

“We were very much in favour of that date.

“We feel that is a reasonable point of time to aim for.

“Our players are keen to go and our coaches are happy, our medical staff are happy, so we are very much looking forward to it.”

Albion face a battle to stay up over the last nine rounds of games.

But Barber said: "I think the whole club this morning felt lifted by the fact we have got a date.

"We are looking forward to Arsenal coming."
