Premier League clubs kept a clean sheet with a difference - in the battle against coronavirus.

There were no positive results from the latest batch of Covid-19 tests, carried out on Thursday and yesterday.

A total of 1,130 players and club staff were tested.

The news will be another boost as clubs aim for a restart next month.

Meanwhile the Government today confirmed domestic competitive sport behind closed doors will be allowed from Monday.

Oliver Dowden, the secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport, said: "Football, tennis, horse racing, Formula 1, cricket, golf, rugby, snooker and others are all set to return to our screens shortly."
