Yves Bissouma has been told consistency is key as he aims to pick up where he left off.

The Mali midfielder was in fine form when action was halted 15 weeks ago.

Now he will aim to regain that rhythm going into the final nine fixtures.

Head coach Graham Potter said: “You can see his quality.

“He has been working on his consistency because I think once we get that we have got a really good player.

"We will have to manage his game time and his minutes.

"At the same time he is one I am definitely sure will help us over the next nine matches.

"He has come back in a good way."

Bissouma shrugged off a very early yellow card to impress in the 1-1 draw at Sheffield United.

He caught the eye again in the 0-0 draw at Wolves which remains Albion's most recent outing.

But he has also had more disappointing performances when he has struggled to retain the ball.

Potter said: “His best actions are of a really high level.

“I suppose as a midfield player it is probably a bit more important to be consistent than maybe a wide player, you could argue.

“But he is also a young player and he is adapting to the club, the country the league, to us.

“He missed the start of the season from an injury from last season so it hasn’t been straightforward for Yves.

“But he is another one we are happy with.”
