Albion will be on guard against Anthony Martial and his supporting cast at the Amex.

Graham Potter felt his side “got away with” a 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford earlier this season.

Martial, who scored a hat-trick against Sheffield United last week, led the attack that day.

And Marcus Rashford was a huge threat down the left.

Martial has made progress in the void left by Romelu Lukaku’s move to Inter.

Potter said: “It’s hard for me to comment on the decision that they make at that level.

“But, in terms of Martial, it suits him playing through the middle. He can move around the pitch.

“It obviously helps when you’ve got the likes of (Bruno) Fernandes, (Paul) Pogba and Rashford to combine and play with.

“It suits his style of play that there is a bit of fluidity, movement and pace around him. From a defensive perspective, you can’t just shut off one avenue, there’s another few they can attack you with.

“He’s a top player in a great moment of form, scoring a hat-trick. He’s one of many players that are at the top of their game.”

United are showing signs of being a force next season, especially if they can get the best out of Pogba on a consistent basis.

Potter likes the way he combines with Fernandes and sees the Portuguese star as a great addition to the Premier League.

Albion’s head coach said: “He has given them a real good balance. The midfield three can be Matic, Pogba and him, so that is a nice combination.

“He can combine and link-up and he’s technically, very good and can make runs in behind the back four and he can stretch you in different ways.

“He’s a fantastic player and a really good signing and top player for the Premier League.”

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Rashford can be a threat.

He said: “Of course Marcus has been out for a while but I think he’s looked sharp.

“He came on and looked sharp again against Norwich, against Sheffield United he missed one or two chances but the goals he created I think is what we’re focusing on.

“I think Marcus is on his way to his best season ever at Man United, so, for me, I’m just looking forward to him getting more and more minutes.”

He’ll definitely score a goal soon.”
