Victor Lindelof believes the arrival of Bruno Fernandes has brought a new level of creativity to Manchester United.

And he will not get much of an argument about that from Graham Potter.

The January signing from Sporting of Lisbon shone once again on Tuesday, scoring twice in a 3-0 win at the Amex as United moved back up to fifth in the table.

Mason Greenwood opened the scoringin the 17th minute before Fernandes took the spotlight with two fine finishes of his own.

Albion will be keen to see United maintain their sparkling form.

They host Bournemouth on Saturday and are away to Aston Villa next Thursday.

Fernandes has scored five goals in just eight Premier League appearances and has brought a higher level of control when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are in possession.

Lindelof said: “He has been great ever since he signed.

“Straight away he showed his quality and he came in and wanted the ball and created a lot of chances for us.

“He can keep improving and keep doing the same things.

“We have some really good players up there. I think once again they showed what they can do on the pitch and then when we keep the ball like that they can control the game for us.

“So it’s quite nice to watch them play football.”

Potter highlighted the balance of United’s attacking unit and broke down what it is like to play against them.

Albion’s head coach said: “We had shots on goal, David De Gea made saves but you are always on the stretch against them because they have got that quality, they have got that speed and power and also intelligence.

“Fernandes has made a big difference to them in terms of the balance of their midfield.

“I think (Nemanja) Matic gives them control in terms of building with a back three and it pushes the full-backs on with really good width.

“And the front three cause you a problem with Fernandes. They have got a good balance.

“Sometimes wins and results and momentum are powerful.”

United have plenty of time to rest before taking on the Cherries.

They appear to have hit upon their favoured XI with Solskjaer naming an unchanged XI in terms of league fixtures for the first time since December as he sent his side out at the Amex.

The bench was also the same as for last week’s win over Sheffield United with ex-Albion loanee Jesse Lingard not involved.
