MATY RYAN 6/10
Did not have a lot to do thanks to protection ahead of him – and might even have had that late header covered. Maybe.
TARIQ LAMPTEY 8/10
So quick, confident and good on the ball. Was caused some first-half trouble by Hernandez, the best home player, but was on top by the time he was taken off so Albion could have more height at the back for the last few minutes.
ADAM WEBSTER 7/10
An assured return from his one-match absence. Solid defending and looked to use the ball wisely.
LEWIS DUNK 8/10
Outstanding again, with a first-half block of a Hernandez shot as he spotted danger standing out in the memory. Took the customary responsibility for looking to build from the back when Norwich sat back in their shape.
DAN BURN 7/10
A generally good display at left back as Aarons ran at him, then left centre-back. But should probably have scored from Mooy’s free-kick and was beaten in the air when Idah went close late on.
DAVY PROPPER 7/10
Was a minor doubt before the match but got through a lot of work ahead of the defence and picked some nice passes, most notably leading to two penalty shouts.
YVES BISSOUMA 7/10
Continues to put together the run of consistent performances his occasionally misguided potential demanded. Started the move for the goal and later warmed Krul’s palms amid a busy afternoon.
LEANDRO TROSSARD 7/10
Just when he seemed to be best suited to the supersub role, he started and showed a goalscorer’s instinct and touch for the precious winner. Worked hard.
AARON MOOY 8/10
Can play a few midfield roles but always looks at his best when roaming forward. Underlined that with his part in the goal and his second-half free-kick should have led to Burn scoring.
NEAL MAUPAY 7/10
Probably not his best role as he played off Connolly but his forward-looking pass led to the goal. Did some good hold-up play when left on his own in attack.
AARON CONNOLLY 6/10
Flashed a half volley over the bar and was busy in attack without many chances from which to benefit.
SUBS
BERNARDO
Valuable work down the left as Albion looked to batten down the hatches.
PASCAL GROSS
Sent on for a tough period of the match but did his defensive bit.
DALE STEPHENS
A bits and pieces midfield role to help populate midfield and complete the job.
ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER
Sent on for the final stages.
SHANE DUFFY
Added height at the back for last few minutes.
