Oldham have confirmed they have agreed to sell 15-year-old forward Zak Emmerson to Albion.

The fee is undisclosed but believed to be £130,000.

This summer's transfer window opens on July 27.

Albion have been in closely guarded talks with Oldham and Emmerson for several weeks but have been not to spark a bidding battle for his services.

The agreement was confirmed by Oldham via their website this afternoon.

Emmerson made his debut at the start of the 2019-20 season as the youngest ever player to represent the club and the second-youngest in the EFL, at 15 years and 73 days old.

He is one of at least three emerging talents on Albion's radar as they look to the future.

They are also expected to complete a deal for Wigan midfielder Jensen Weir.
