Potter recently challenged Bissouma to be more consistent and he appears to have responded.

The Albion boss said: “It would be nice for him to add a couple of goals to his game.

“I think he is developing as a midfield player who can defend as well. He wins a lot of balls and regains possession for us.

“He has the ability, the quality, to score as well.

“As a team, we need to try and get more goals from other areas of the pitch.

“It is something that is quite obvious.

“He has the capability to do that.”

Bissouma last week celebrated the second anniversary of his arrival at Albion on a five-year deal.
