Adam Lallana has revealed he was impressed by Tony bloom and Graham Potter as he opted to pledge his future to Albion.
The England international midfielder is on board for the next three years.
He had several clubs from which to choose after leaving Liverpool as a free agent.
But Albion proved to be his preferred option.
He said: “I look at how ambitious the chairman is, how highly regarded the manager is as well.
“Since he has come into the club he has obviously changed the dynamics and the style.
“To do that while keeping the team in the division is a fantastic and a difficult job.
“I looked at all those aspects and I looked at the squad and training ground facilities, the stadium and it was a perfect fit really.
“I’m really excited to get stuck into the challenge and hopefully we can push on again next season.”
Lallana would love to pass on his experience to Albion’s wealth of young talent.
He said: “I’m fortunate enough to have, over the course of my career and especially in the last six years, been able to go to major international championships, play in European finals, domestic finals, and winning the Premier League and the Champions League.
“There’s a lot of experience that I’ve been fortunate enough to gather.
“If I can help in a little way, especially the younger lads, and help nurture them and improve them, I’d really like to do that.”
