Shane Duffy has been linked with a move away from Brighton in a bid for the Ireland star to get more regular first-team football with West Ham monitoring his position.

According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham manager David Moyes is keen on bringing Duffy to the London Stadium.

Moyes knew Duffy from his time managing Everton and was the man who gave the defender his professional debut.

Duffy has been at Brighton since 2016 and has played a massive part for their defence since Albion’s promotion.

Signed from Blackburn, the Irish centre-back is very much an old school defender.

Up until last season, Duffy was part of a solid defence alongside Lewis Dunk. When Graham Potter arrived, Duffy was resigned to the bench and struggled for game time on the South Coast, only making 19 appearances in the Premier League, his fewest since the Seagulls promotion.

The club was linked to Duffy in January and was close to signing him. There was talk of a £10 million transfer fee.
