Almeria are working to drive up the sale price of in-demand striker Darwin Nunez.

Albion are interested in the 21-year-old Uruguayan hotshot who scored 16 goals in the Spanish second tier last season.

Almeria are keen to drive a hard bargain for their prize asset after missing out on promotion in the play-offs.

Reporters in Almeria have been briefed that Almeria would not negotiate for less than 26 million euros (about £23 million).

An Argus contact said: “We have been told Almeria will negotiate from 26, 28, 30 million (euros), they won’t come down from there.”

An array of clubs have been linked with Nunez, latterly RB Leipzig.
