Albion will be hoping to buck the trend against Chelsea tonight at the Amex (8:15pm, Sky Sports).

In the 14 times they have played each other, the Seagulls have won just once and that came in the first meeting between the sides on January 14,1933 in the FA Cup, as Albion won 2-1 at home.

However, on the other 13 occasions they have drawn two and lost the other 11.

In the last meeting between the two sides Albion fared better picking up their first ever point against Chelsea in the league, thanks to a superb overhead kick from substitute Alireza Jahanbakhsh to cancel out Cesar Azpilicueta's opener.

The concerning thing for Albion will be the amount of goals they have conceded early on, especially at the Amex.

For example, in the friendly against Chelsea a couple of weeks ago, Timo Werner opened the scoring in the fourth minute.

In the last three league meetings at the Amex Albion have conceded in the opening 20 minutes of the game, through Azpilicueta last season (10), Pedro in December 2018 (17), and in January 2018 to Eden Hazard (3) and Willian (6).

Albion will be hoping their luck will change tonight and they could get their first win in the league against Chelsea, plus their first victory over the Blues for 87 years.
