Preston beat fellow Championship side Derby 2-1, thanks to a stoppage time penalty from Daniel Johnson.
Derby took the lead through Jason Knight, but were reduced to ten men four minutes later when centre back Mike te Wierik was shown a straight red.
North End equalised with just over ten minutes of the 90 left through Tom Barkhuizen.
Then one minute into stoppage time Preston were given a penalty after a hanball by Lee Buchanan, which Johnson coverted to make 2-1.
Albion loanee Matthew Clarke played the full 90 minutes for Derby.
