Albion head-coach Graham Potter has given positive injury updates on Adam Lallana, Ben White and Dale Stephens ahead of their trip to Newcastle on Sunday (2pm, Sky Sports).

White and Lallana both came off in the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea in Albion’s Premier League opener on Monday.

Neither White or Lallana were involved for Albion in their 4-0 win over Portsmouth in the Carabao Cup second round last night.

However, Potter had some positive news about the pair.

He said: “He (Lallana) is going to join the group for training today, which is positive.  We will make a decision about that as late as possible, so we can to give him the best chance.

“Ben will take part in training today. He has got a chance for Newcastle, but it's a little too early to say at the minute.”

Dale Stephens went off late into the victory over Portsmouth last night, but Potter is hopeful he will be available this weekend.

He said: “With Dale it was precautionary we were 4-0 up, but it was just a bit of tightness. He should be available for the weekend.”
