Do you remember when long-serving Dale Stephens first signed for Albion?

The midfielder is set to join for Burnley after more than six-and-a-half years with the Seagulls.

He arrived from Charlton Athletic on deadline day during the January window in 2014.

As a result, Albion called off their pursuit of Huddersfield midfielder Adam Clayton, for whom they reportedly made a£ 1 million bid.

Stephens was one of two additions to Oscar Garcia’s play-off squad on that busy Friday along with David Rodriguez, the Celta striker who was let go by their boss Luis Enrique.

We took this snap of Stephens talking to local media at the club’s then training base at the University of Sussex in Falmer on the day he signed.

He made his debut two days later, in a 2-0 defeat at Watford, operating in midfield with Keith Andrews and Jake Forster-Caskey.
