To get the lowdown on Albion’s opponent tomorrow afternoon, I spoke to Dominic Booth, who is the Manchester United writer for the Manchester Evening News:

What have you made of United's recruitment so far this summer?

It has been underwhelming, even if you set aside the frustration United have felt over the Jadon Sancho saga.

The Dortmund star has been their priority target for the summer window, with Solskjaer identifying the need for a right-winger.

But the German club have rebuked United time after time in the media, and the chances of signing him seem to be fading.

Still, you felt United could have strengthened in other areas this summer, with centre-back and left-back positions that they could have bolstered by now.

Donny van de Beek is a good addition but United need more if they're to build on last season's third-place finish.

They didn't make the greatest start to the season, why do you think that is?

United have suffered more than most as a result of the unprecedented circumstances surrounding the start of the new campaign.

Their 2019/20 season went deep into August and they were only able to play one pre-season friendly, which they lost to Aston Villa.

They looked short of match fitness against Crystal Palace last week and need to get more miles in their legs.

The midweek win over Luton may have helped with that, but this Brighton game will be a tougher test altogether.

Who will be the player Albion will need to keep a close eye on?

Bruno Fernandes ran the show last time at the Amex Stadium, together with the direct running of Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

Fernandes has been a key man since he arrived at United and expect him to dominate proceedings once again, unless Brighton closely shackle him.

The Argus:

Are United fans worried by the lack of signings?

You only have to scroll through social media to see the frustration. Fans are desperate for the club to spend and show more ambition in the transfer market.

Jadon Sancho would answer many supporters' prayers this summer.

How will they lineup ?

The big decisions for Solskjaer will be over who to pick in midfield alongside Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba, and whether Victor Lindelof stays as Harry Maguire's centre-back partner.

Probable XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw; Van de Beek, Pogba, Fernandes; Greenwood, Martial, Rashford.

What will the score be?

I'll go for a United win, but it will be by a narrow scoreline, not the convincing display we saw last time United faced Brighton.

The Amex has traditionally been a tough place for United to go, though that's mitigated somewhat by the lack of fans in the ground. 2-1 to United.
