It will be played on Wednesday evening with a 7.45pm kick off and has been selected for live broadcast on Sky Sports.
The game will follow on from the Newport County v Newcastle clash, which starts at 5.30pm and is also on Sky.
The Seagulls' second-round tie against Portsmouth was on Sky.
Fans could watch the midweek win at Preston via a Carabao Cup pay-per-view streaming service.
