Yves Bissouma could be up against a new international colleague if he returns to the Albion side at Everton.
The midfielder has been named in the Mali squad for their long-awaited return to action.
There is a first call for Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, who moved from Watford in the summer.
Bissouma is available for a recall after suspension when the Seagulls visit Goodison Park on Saturday.
Doucoure has been a big part of Everton’s impressive start to the season and has been rather optimistically called by Mali when he has always stated his preference to play for France.
Mali have not played since November last year but will return to action against Ghana on October 9 and Iran four days later in friendly matches being staged in Turkey.
They kick off their 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Namibia in November.
Bissouma's international carerer has been somewhat stop-start but he has 18 caps and has made strides in the Premier League since Mali last played.
