Graham Potter has declined to comment on reports he is poised to bring in a striker.

Lausanne goalgetter Andi Zeqiri is believed to be close to joining the club.

Albion’s head coach was asked about reports to that effect in his scheduled press conference ahead of tomorrow’s cup tie versus Manchester United – as well as a suggestion from Zeqiri’s father that the 21-year-old would go straight into the Seagulls’ senior squad.

Potter said: “At this time of year there is lots of speculation, lots of talk but, until the players are here, until the players are Brighton players, I don’t tend to speak about anybody who is not one of our guys.

“He is not so, sorry, can’t comment.”

A well-placed source this morning told The Argus that Zeqiri remains "of interest" to Albion.

Parma have also been in the running for his signature.
